Things have changed forever. Or so you thought. The fact is they have, but not in the way you thought they would. You are worried that your little boy will always find things difficult, that people may never see his amazingness and that they will judge him based upon things he has no control over. But looking at him now, the way he’s grown into his two left feet so that he can finally walk with his head held high; the way he uses his differences not to define him and make him feel an inch tall, but to motivate him to change the lives of kids in the exact same situation he is now, I promise you have nothing to worry about. I wish I could say things will get easier from here, but lady, things have only just gotten started. Five more babies to fill that hip space and four more children to fill your head space. It might seem daunting to fathom but I promise, it will be OK. Things are hard sometimes but with every hardship follows great joy. And you my 20 something year old self are in for a roller coaster of a ride, with higher heights reached than you could ever imagine. So, remember you can manage and succeed at anything you face and that each of your children will show the world exactly what they’re made. They will shine. Please be kind to yourself, don’t criticize yourself and know that you’ve got this ❤
